Starting from April 29th 2023 (local time), international airline passengers entering China no longer have to take a 48-hour nucleic acid Covid-19 test (PCR test). Instead, an antigen rapid test (ART test) is accepted. Therefore, Chinese Embassy in Albania has updated the Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control for China-bound Travelers.
Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control for China-bound Travelers
1. Pre-departure Test
All China-bound travelers need to take ART or PCR test for COVID-19 within 48 hours before boarding. They can only travel to China when the test results are negative or after the results turn from positive to negative.
2. Health Declaration to China Customs
Travelers are required to declare negative test result to China Customs by filling the Health Declaration Form on the Wechat mini-program of China Customs (scan the QR code below), or at https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn, or via the China Customs APP.
3.Airline companies will no longer check the negative ART or PCR test results.
4. Self-protection on the Aircraft
Please abide by the epidemic prevention and control requirements of the airline companies and take good personal protection to reduce the risk of infection.
5. Inspection upon Entry
Upon arrival at the port, please complete necessary customs clearance procedures by showing China Customs Health Declaration Code. Travelers whose test results are negative will go through routine inspection by China Customs, which will conduct sampling inspection with a certain proportion. Travelers with anomalies in the health declaration or symptoms like fever shall cooperate with China Customs in carrying out epidemiological and medical investigation, and accept sampling and testing of related infectious diseases.
6. After-entry Epidemic Prevention and Control
After entry into China, travelers should strictly abide by the epidemic prevention and control requirements of the place where they stay.
