Notice on the Adjustment to the Requirements of Health Code Application (June 29, 2022)

To better prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic, starting from June 29, 2022, all China-bound passengers departing from Albania are required to take COVID-19 tests according to the following requirements to apply for health codes (including Health Declaration Certificate Health Codes for Non-Chinese passengers).

1. All China-bound passengers, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination, are required to take two COVID-19 RT-PCR tests. The first test shall be taken within 48 hours before boarding their flights and the second one within 24 hours before boarding. The two tests shall be performed in any of the two different hospitals or labs authorized by Albanian authority using different reagents with an interval at least 24 hours. Passengers can choose any flight route to China. 

2.Required Documents and Application Procedures

(1). Non-Chinese applicants shall visit the following website: 

https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ to create an account, then log in and apply for health codes.

(2). Documents to be uploaded shall be clear and complete. Please keep the test reports, vaccine certificates and other documents with QR codes unfolded and clear. Documents required are as follows:

①Two negative RT-PCR test reports, vaccine certificate (if vaccinated) and Letter of Commitment on COVID-19 Vaccination (please see attachment 1 ).

② Passport and Residence Certificate (one of the following documents, passport of Albania, Residence Permit for Foreigners, visa, passport page with Albania-entry stamp or other documents indicating the date of arrival in Albania). 

③Detailed flight itinerary (indicating passenger’s name, passport number, flight number, ticket number or booking reference and other necessary information).

④Confirmation for the tests in transit city (if reservation is required)


3.Passengers with infection history

Passengers diagnosed with COVID-19 or tested positive for nucleic acid RT-PCR test are considered as having an infection history. These passengers proved to have recovered for at least 14 days can apply for health codes as ordinary applicants, if less than 14 days, they shall wait to apply 14 days after their recovery. To confirm recovery, these applicants shall provide 2 negative RT-PCR tests reports taken with an interval at least 24 hours and fill truthfully Personal Health Monitoring Form (please see attachment 2 ) during 14 days health monitoring. They can apply for health codes as ordinary passengers if showing no symptom during the health monitoring. These applicants shall contact the Embassy at least 21 days before departure for assistance.


4. Applicants who are close contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases or with suspected symptoms

Applicants who have had unprotected contact with confirmed, suspected or asymptomatic cases are considered as close contacts. Close contacts, applicants showing suspected symptoms or whose test result is either “Uncertain” or with Ct value in gray range shall undergo 5 days health monitoring and fill truthfully Personal Health Monitoring Form. They can apply for health codes as ordinary passengers if showing no symptom during the health monitoring.
