To make the visa application process more efficient for applicants, the Chinese Embassy in Albania will implement a new online visa application and appointment system beginning 1 August 2020. All visa applicants, including diplomatic passport and official service passport holders, (excluding applicants for HongKong and Macau visas) should complete the visa application form through the online portal, then select an appointment time. Detailed process outlined below:

1. Complete the visa application form at https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn, make the appointment at https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn .

2. After submitting the online form, print a physical copy, sign, prepare relevant application materials according to visa applications requirements, then come to the embassy at the selected appointment time.

3. The first month will be a transition period, during which applicants can still apply by submitting the old paper application form without making appointment online.

4. Beginning 1 September 2020, all visa applicants must complete the online form and appointment process online, and the old form will no longer be accepted.
